Prosecutors Against Gun Violence to hold Oregon summit on link between domestic violence and gun violence

Members of Prosecutors Against Gun Violence (PAGV), a diverse coalition of prosecutors from across the country, will hold a summit focusing on the connection between incidents of domestic violence and gun violence, as well as effective and practical solutions.

A media availability to discuss the details of the program will be held with co-chairs Los Angeles City Attorney Mike Feuer, New York County District Attorney Cyrus Vance, Jr, and host Multnomah County Oregon District Attorney Rod Underhill. Members of the media will also have access to the luncheon discussion with US Attorney Bill Williams and Oregon Chief District Judge Ann Aiken.

PAGV was launched in September 2014 as a groundbreaking effort to combat gun violence. The non-partisan coalition was organized to identify and promote prosecutorial and policy solutions to the national public health and safety crisis of gun violence. The Domestic Violence and Gun Violence Summit in Portland follows the group’s prior summits in Atlanta and Miami.
